We’re big softies here at Manchester Social 101 and we love a nice feel good, fuzzy campaign that warms our cockles… This one is no exception as Spinningfields shares the love this Valentine’s Day, with this year’s Three Little Words Twitter campaign. The romantic give away provides two couples the chance to win the ultimate Valentine’s Day package.
The packages for each couple will include an evening meal at Manchester Social 101 faves; Neighbourhood or Iberica, after dinner drinks at The Alchemist or Artisan and vouchers for breakfast at Comptoir. Anybody can enter to win by heading to the Spinningfields Twitter page, describing their partner in three words, accompanied by a photo, using #LoveSpinningfields.
Dotted around the estate, visitors to Spinningfields will also find some little gestures to brighten their day from Saturday February 11th to Tuesday 14th. The estate will be flooded with pink lighting for the occasion, whilst many of the restaurants will be offering indulgent menus for the most romantic day of the year.
Over at Tattu, executive chef Clifton Muil has created a special main course with his team, designed for two to enjoy together as a sharing experience. Featuring Aberdeen Angus ribeye, half Canadian lobster, Szechuan sauce, samphire, pickled chanterelles, truffle, and a porcini teriyaki, served with Chinese noodles. Priced at £55 for two. A limited edition sharing cocktail – ‘Til Death do us Part – will also be available for guests.
Fazenda, the Brazilian favourite, will be offering its usual menu along with a welcome glass of sparkling wine and a special Valentine’s Day Petit Fours dessert to share, for £25.80 per person at lunch time, and £36.80 per person in the evening. This menu will be available on the evening of Friday 10th February, then lunch and evening bookings will be available from Saturday through to Tuesday the 14th.
Spinningfields’ newest addition, The Refinery, has two special sharing dishes on the menu during Valentine’s Week, a grilled dover sole with nut brown butter and chips for £34.95, and a 16oz Chateaubriand steak with chips and béarnaise sauce for £39.95. On the night itself, The Refinery has created a set three course menu priced at £24.95, welcoming diners with a glass of Prosecco and some olives.
The Kitchens will be celebrating Valentine’s Day in their own unique style, with their first collaborative supper club. Guests will take a seat on a shared table, starting with a glass of bubbly on arrival, followed by 6 courses, two from each trader. This collaborative dining experience is priced at £35 per person, with courses cooked by Platzki, Yard Food Shop and BEASTro.
Spinningfields also showcases a range of luxury retail, making it the perfect spot for that special Valentine’s gift.
Phillip Stoner will be offering 15% off wedding and eternity rings throughout the whole of February, and Hey Little Cupcake has the perfect alternative to flowers, with celebratory cakes and cupcakes for loved ones, available to pre-order now.
Other social media competitions include one from Wagamama, Spinningfields Square, where a lucky couple will win a meal for two with a bottle of wine, along with cinema tickets and popcorn at AMC. The draw will be made on February 13th. Over at Thaikhun, a social media competition will be running where the person that enters the best Thai Pun will win a £50 voucher for the restaurant.
